From orchards to AI, this fireside chat explores Silicon Valley’s evolution through memory, culture, and consequence. Featuring Bill Fernandez, Apple co-founder and UI/UX consultant, alongside James Cape- Intel alum, Silicon Valley native, and president of IAN — it highlights the human relationships that ignited early innovation, the structural forces behind its rise, and the formative energy of Apple. The conversation then turns to today’s realities — chip geopolitics, accelerating AI, and the human cost of digital life — asking whether the Valley’s original ethos still endures, and what must be reclaimed to shape a more grounded, responsible technological future.

And a quick note from the Intel Alumni Network Board: if you’re able, please consider contributing to IAN — resources are a bit tight heading into 2026, and every bit of support helps keep the network strong. As an all-volunteer organization, every dollar helps.
