Beyond Networking: The Hidden Advantages of Community
May 13 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
WATCH THE REPLAY NOW!
Most experienced professionals know they should “network.” Fewer understand how to do it in a way that actually creates traction.
And even fewer realize that the right community can do far more than expand your contact list—it can reshape how opportunities find you.
In this session, Gina Riley (Intel Alum and Executive Career Coach) is joined by OpenWater team members Seth Potter, Anh Dang, and Stu Berman to explore the hidden benefits of networking groups—and why traditional approaches often fall short.
Attendees will learn about the growing platform, OpenWater, created for mature professionals to come together in community. Together, they’ll unpack how curated communities are helping experienced professionals stay relevant, build meaningful connections, and create new pathways for what’s next.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
• The origin story of OpenWater—how it started and the problem it was built to solve
• Why the founders chose to invest their time in building this community
• What OpenWater is at its core—and who it’s designed for (and not for)
• How the community operates, including membership, advisory councils, and ways to engage
• Real examples of how members are connecting, collaborating, and contributing
• Where OpenWater is headed and what they are building next
• How to explore and determine if it’s the right fit for you
