A virtual fab tour and Q&A session with Dr. Paolo Gargini, James Evers and Michael Fendrick

Intel Manufacturing and Operations Group VP Jim Evers and Manager of the Manufacturing Systems Group, Mike Fendrick, take IAN members inside the Ocotillo manufacturing site and Fab 42 using 4 video tours – including 1 video specially made for IAN. The videos cover how the fabs are built and managed, as well as the processes used for today’s Intel transistors, including a deep dive on Extreme Ultra-Violet (EUV).

The bulk of the webinar, however, is a lively interchange between the current Intel fab experts with alumni & industry expert Dr. Paolo Gargini. Paolo relates development of ‘copy exact,’ the history of Intel’s path to EUV, as well as numerous historical anecdotes ranging from Fab naming to packaging challenges. James and Michael provide insight on where Intel believes it is leading the industry today and it’s plans to regain leadership positions where needed, as well as their own anecdotes about some of the lesser known, but spectacular, technologies used today in Intel manufacturing.

Watch this webinar to understand how past and present hard work, risk-taking and innovation drives the most sophisticated manufacturing plants in the world.
