A heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our members who have made the Intel Alumni Network (IAN) so successful this year!  2018 has been a great year for IAN on many different levels, ALL of which are the result of the engagement of our members (like YOU!) with both our local events and our online community.  We’d also like to thank the many members who have volunteered their time and talents to help make our events, newsletters, and chapters so successful – we could not have done it without you.

Highlighting just a few of our great local events, there were the Arizona and the Oregon chapter spring events in April; the Machine Learning event held by the Silicon Valley chapter in May; and to wrap up the year, a series of outstanding Intel 50th Anniversary events around the world.

The first of these events were the Midwest/Eastern/Automotive Regions and the IJKK 50th Anniversary Reunion dinners, both of which were held on September 29.  These were followed by the Arizona, Oregon, and Silicon Valley chapter events held in November.  At each of these events, we were extremely fortunate to have alumni attendees from across the company, including former ESM/MCM members, GMs, directors, managers, and the people who did all of the work in the trenches.  Whatever our roles at the company were, we all came together for one purpose – to reunite and revitalize our relationships with the colleagues and friends that we value.

We’ve also seen significant engagement on our Facebook page, supporting the ability of our members around the world to engage with each other on Intel news and industry topics of interest.  Our total followers increased by 10% this year, and we have a number of very active posters on the Community section of our Facebook page.  Please join our top contributors over the last quarter including Sinan Othman, Mark Olson, Bruce Schechter, Sandra Duncan, Sandhi Bhide, Andrew Wilson, Donovan Hardenbrook, Edward Musio, Dane Elliot, Ettore Accenti, and Steven McGeady and kick off some interesting discussions of your own with fellow alumni!

We are already planning some very compelling programs for 1H19 that you won’t want to miss. In order to stay abreast of our future events, please sign up for our email/membership list at www.intelalumni.org, and continue to join in the conversations by liking and following the IAN Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/intelalumni/.

We also invite you to become more involved with IAN.  There are a variety of ways you can contribute, from volunteering to help with local chapter events, working on committees, to joining our advisory board or our board of directors – simply send your feedback, ideas, or areas of interest to info@intelalumni.org.  Please consider joining us to make a real impact while having fun!

Last but not least, we wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a very happy and healthy 2019 – we look forward to seeing you more often at both chapter events and online next year!

Best Regards,

Howard Jacob and Ursula Herrick – IAN Co-Presidents
